Hey there.
I’m BLT. And as you read this blog, I am sitting here trying to figure out what kind of blog I want to make it. I have all sorts of nuggets of information that I want to share, and I don’t want to be set on just informing you about only one of those types of nuggets. I don’t want to be just a mom blog, a green blog, a political blog, theological blog, a workout/diet blog, a religious blog, a home management blog, productivity blog, etc. I want to include all of those things here. I would also LOVE your input!
I also am on this new-found path of simplifying myself even more than I realize I am capable of. So this also means that this won’t be to much of a high maintenance blog. This blog will be a place where I hope you feel welcome -whether you agree with me or not.
In my blog, you will find mention of three people I hold very close to my heart. My husband, and our two children.
A brief intro: My husband and I have known each other since 3rd grade. We have been together since 2002. While I stay at home and manage the family and house [and everything those entail], he works on an oil rig for an international company. When you see the name Enyk, that will be my husband am writing about. Our son was born in 2002.
He’s the liveliest boy you’ll EVER meet, and the smartest. At the young age of two, he had the fine and gross motors skills of a 6 year old. He is very mature for his age. He is currently into drawing, playing video games, and riding his bike endlessly. His favorite things to watch in television are Ben 10, Home Improvement, Bill Cosby, and the Justice League [or anything dealing with the justice league/super friends/Smallville]. His has a love for music that allows him to be familiar with artists most kids his age won’t hear about until they are much older than they currently are. Some of his favorite music groups/artists are: Hall + Oates, M. Ward, The Fucking Champs, Ben Harper, O.A.R., Beirut, and M83. When you see the name Aristotle OR Ari-Ki [short for Aristotle Maliki], take note -you’ll be reading about our son.
Our daughter was born in 2005. She is very bright and insightful. Always asking questions, always learning. She loves to clean and help Mommy at any given time. She, too, loves to ride her bike and draw while listening to music or audio-books. Her favorite things to watch on television are Strawberry Shortcake, The Dick Van Dyke Show, Full House, and Bindi the Jungle Girl. Some of her favorite music groups/artists are: She +Him, Dave Matthews Band, Ryan Adams, Belaire, Dominic Castillo & The Rock Savants, The 5th Dimension, Eliot Lipp, Tori Amos, Joanna Newsom, and Jewel. When you see the name Lily, take note -you’ll be reading about our daughter.
At any given time -you can probably catch any of us doing any of the following activities that are listed above, or picnicking, watching trains go by, painting, watching 80’s movies, or something similar.
